Ended up on a quick trip to the gorcery store after work today. A couple of headlines from the checkout line magazine rack caught my eye.
First, the Weekly World News reports that Marylin Monroe was apparently bitten by a vampire. Just reading that made me chuckle out loud. Then, Marge Simpson is on the cover of MAXIM magazine. Which is kind of arousing and creepy at the same time. The new job training is going well. Definitely seeing a much more improved attitude at work recently. It'll be nice to settle into a routine and then I can just go with it. And if you're in need of a little karmic balance, be sure to write me fan email, send me fan art, of just post away at the Tagboard. Doing that will make me happy, which in turn means comics and good stuff like that. Remember, happiness is contagious. (0) comments Saturday, March 20, 2004
Good news, everyone!
Like I mentioned, I got the lab tech job...and now, it seems I begin training Monday. Yay! No more with the heavy lifting and the hot slabs of metal and the moving of the rubber and the first shift not doing the work and glayvin... But, I'm working a kind of weird training shedule. Monday's weird anyway, since I have a previous appointment, but the first week (next week) I'll be on first shift, getting to know what to do. Then the second week I'll work a shifted second shift (go in and leave earlier than the usual 2nd shift hours) to get to know my specific duties. Third week, I start on my own. So, in a nutshell, I'm not 100% sure if there will be timely comic updates over the next couple weeks. Of course I'll try to get some done ahead of time to update regularly, but I can't guarantee that. But, once I get settled in the new job, things should go a lot more smoothly. Ooh, looky there, more free time to possibly work on comics! (or more likely waste with Playstation, but we'll see... lol) (0) comments Thursday, March 18, 2004
Oh yeah. Blog! =P
Sitting in the "rework" pile at work is this stack of preformed sheets. A common occurance. Written on top are some things about why it's sitting there (it blisters, apparently), and there's some kind of tracking number there. 7891-1337. When I walked by and glanced at this really quickly, the thing to pop into my head was the word "leet". And then I felt like slapping myself. Other than that, I'm just going through the motions at work. I'm burned out. Still no one hired to take my place (I got the lab tech job, btw), but at least I'll have consecutive 2-day weekends this and next week! Man, that sounds rough when I'm looking forward to "normal" 2-day weekends. =P (0) comments Sunday, March 07, 2004
Went to Blockbuster to stave off boredom for the weekend. While browsing the selections, I noticed Air Bud Spikes Back. I don't know which sequel this is (gotta be at least third or fourth), and I'm thinking, "Just how many sports can this damn dog play?!"
And it also reminded me of this. (0) comments Thursday, March 04, 2004
Had my year-end review at work today. It's hard to believe I've been working there for one full year now! Though there may be some changes in store for me soon. I'm trying to get a job as a lab tech. Good news: I will have escaped the humdrumery and labor of my current position. Bad news: it's still second shift, so that still kinda sucks. Plus there's a possibility of a pay cut...even though my supervisor actually advised me to ask to keep it the same lol. Anyhoo, that really shouldn't affect anthing with the comic, just thought I'd share that. Though, I may not have to work any mandatory-overtime Saturdays, which is always a good thing.
Also, use the Tag-board! (0) comments |
